    The days until digital d-day in Granada are slowly ticking away. So here to help answer all our digital switchover is Jonathon Dugdale from local digital suppliers Dugdales Digital Commercial.  
  1. When is the digital switchover taking place?
    The digital switchover will take place in the Granada region on November 4 2009. The Granada region includes Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Merseyside.
     
    2) Why is this happening?
    The government took the decision to turn off the analogue signal in … This decision was made so that everyone could enjoy a better quality of television
     
    3) Where is this happening?
    Switchovers have already taken place in Whitehaven and the Scottish Border Region with every other area switching over ending with Central London in 2012.
     
    4) What will happen if I am not prepared for the switchover?
    If your television can not receive a digital signal then after November 4 you will not be able to watch television.
     
    5) How is this going to affect me?
    This will improve the quality and amount of channels which everyone can view.  
    6) Will this be expensive?
    There are a variety of ways to upgrade your television ranging from a Freeview Box to a Digital Box. Why not browse through the choices available to you at dugdalescommercial.com
     
    7) Can I not just keep my own TV, do I have to change?
    Your current televisions may be able to receive a digital signal, call us on 01200 443661 and we’ll send one of our qualified digital installers to check out the signal.
